How Chris Rock develops his material over months of small gigs at tiny comedy clubs is fascinating. There is not doubt that Rock is a master craft's man when it comes to honing his routines. I just never thought of it this way before. I wish more artists allowed us such an intimate look into their creative process.
Everything in this book at Pixar fascinates me. Their creative process for developing ideas and then their meticulous revision process of perfecting those ideas leaves me in awe. I love the quote from Pixar wizard John Lasseter who says: "We don't actually finish our films, we release them."
